State Key Laboratory of Networking and Switching Technology (hereinafter referred to as the lab), in order to better summarize the current work plan for the future development, on November 24, 2014, in the BUPT Hotel convened an annual summary and planning seminar. The seminar invited the Ministry of Industry and Informatization Communication Technology Committee Wu Hequan Academician and other parts in Beijing's information communication field well-known experts; BUPT Research Institute Dean Liu Jie, as well as Academician Chen Junliang from the lab, Director Zhang Ping attended the seminar. The seminar was moderrated by Prof. Zhang Ping.
The deputy director of the lab, Qiu Xuesong introduced in detail scientific research, personnel training, student exchanges and scientific research equipment construction, and other aspects of the work in detail to the experts attending. Then he expressed he current problems of the lab and the next step of work planning to the experts to the full report.
After the report, experts from the ICT Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Informatization discussed around the lab's 2014-year work, the problems in the lab and the future development plan in-depth The experts said that the network platform is still the survival line of communication industry, and the future development of the should insist on the network platform strategy and Internet thinking parallel. At the same time, the experts also suggested that the lab should grasp new opportunities of the development of communication industry, strengthen the construction of talent team, improve scientific research output. Finally, experts say the research work in the lab is to grope the road as well as to plan overall, so dare to do the things we want and look further at the same time. The atmosphere of the discussion was very enthusiastic, and the spark of thought was striking.
Finally, Director Zhang Ping on behalf the lab expressed gratitude to the experts. Professor Zhang said that after the Seminar, the lab will consider the experts' suggestions and comments, and continue to tackle hard, redoubling efforts to make more scientific research highlights, so that the work to a new level.
